My name is Kyle Norris, 23 years old, and I've been playing guitar for just over a decade! My biggest influences include Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Slash, and Marty Friedman. Born and raised in Southern California, I grew up listening to hard rock and metal thanks to Guitar Hero III, igniting my love for music and the guitar. I would then spend my middle and high school years playing cover band shows through the School of Rock in San Diego, CA.
I have recently graduated from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music with a Bachelor's in Music majoring in Media Scoring & Production with a minor in Music Business Entertainment Industries. This includes my further studies of guitar as my principle instrument in their contemporary program.
Mission
As I'm writing this, I have currently amassed over 300 thousand followers on the social media platform, TikTok, showcasing my passion for guitar. As I slowly build my fanbase, I have one mission.
I have a great desire for more guitar solos in mainstream, big label music. My mission is to prove that a new wave of guitar solos in mainstream music can bring back the guitar inspiration we saw in the 1980's guitar hero era. My goal is to pioneer this movement of bringing the guitar hero icon back, by collaborating with big-name artists and offering my sound to their work.
